Tina Buffington

Tina, the longest-tenured employee at MTI since 1997, holds the position of Director of Administration, bringing over 35 years of business administration experience in educational institutions and manufacturing industries. Alongside owning businesses in home party planning, a State Licensed Preschool and Real Estate, Tina has distinguished herself as a versatile and indispensable professional, playing a pivotal role in the ongoing growth and development of MTI for over 20 years.

Tina’s serendipitous path to MTI began when John Overpeck’s (the owner of MTI) daughter attended her home preschool. This connection led her to apply for a Buyer position at the company. With a decade of experience in procurement roles, Tina found the perfect balance at MTI, where she could exchange her around the clock self-employment hours for a more manageable schedule.

While Tina has worn numerous hats at MTI over the years, her unwavering and diligent work ethic has stood out in each role. Her expertise lies in effectively and purposefully overseeing the diverse operations within the company, where she champions and demonstrates values of honesty, integrity and a commitment to nurturing a workplace that is both professional and pleasant. Tina deeply appreciates the familial culture and overwhelming support at MTI, where each team member is intentionally valued and respected.

Outside of work, Tina enjoys traveling and cruising with her husband and volunteering within her community. When the sun graces the Pacific Northwest, you’ll find her tending to her raised orchard, berries, and herb gardens. Tina finds joy in bonding with her 3 grandsons, triumphing over them in table games, and enthusiastically supporting them at their sporting events.
